First Batch of PIChE Fellows Inducted

12 former PIChE national presidents took their oath of membership as PIChE Fellows before Engr. Cezar dela Cruz, PIChE National President during the General Assembly of the PIChE National Convention held last February 19, 2010 at the DAP Conference Center in Tagaytay Center. The inductees were screened and endorsed for membership by the 2009-2010 PIChE National Board of Directors

Inducted were Cesar V. Campos, Lydia G. Tansinsin, Antonio V. Enriquez II, Edgardo G. Alabastro, Eriberto D. Pineda, Shirlyn C. Reyes, Evelio G. Echavez, Jesselito V. Baring, Rex B. Demafelis, Nuna E. Almanzor, Villamor C. Tila, and Alberto A. Laurito. Together with seven other active past national presidents still to be inducted later, they comprise the first batch of the College of Fellows, an elite group of chemical engineers who have distinguished themselves as professionals and who have devoted themselves to the service of PIChE.

PIChE now plans to harness their expertise and abilities for the purpose of  spurring interest in chemical engineering, promoting the profession, serving as resource persons on special topics or projects, and serving as models for other chemical engineers to emulate. 

Each PIChE Fellow inductee received a framed certificate of membership and a specially designed Fellow Pin, Henceforth, they may attach the distinctive title, FPIChE, after their names in their official correspondence.
