The elected officers of the college of fellows

Chairman

Abet recently retired as full professor at the UST Chemical Engineering Department where he taught core professional courses for 43 years. He is  the current Chair of the CHED Technical Committee for Chemical Engineering (TCChE) and member of the Technical Panel for Engineering and Technology (TPET). His  current interest is to provide consultancy in outcomes-based education, strategic planning and building cost effective e-learning management systems for institutions.
He was the PIChE National President in 2008-2009, Dean of the UST Faculty of Engineering (1985-2000), President of the Philippine Association for Technological Education (PATE) in 1992-96 and 1998-2000; Asst. to the Rector for Planning and Development (2001-2007), Director of the UST Educational Technology Center (2002-2006), and founding president of the PIChE Metro-Manila Academe Chapter (2003-2005)
He looks forward to the College of Fellows as the major driving force that will provide PIChE with future opportunities and challenges for global recognition and the innovative development of its members.

Vice Chairman

Cezar is a graduate of B. S. Chemical Engineering at UP Diliman in 1986 and took the PRC Chemical Engineering Licensure Exams on May of the same year and landed 9th place overall.  He finished his Masters in Food Safety Management at the Philippine Women's University in 2018.  He landed his first job at Republic Flour Mills – Gerber Baby Foods on September 1986 where he worked for one year as QA Process Technologist and was recruited into San Miguel Corporation in 1987 and eventually became an Assistant Brewmaster prior to his early retirement from the company in 2011.

​After retirement from San Miguel Brewery Inc., he landed a job as Plant Administrator at Tigre de Oro Mining Corporation at Compostela Valley in Mindanao.

He is currently a Training Consultant at the Philippine Trade Training Center where he handles seminars on Food Safety, cGMP, HACCP, Food Packaging and Labelling, ISO 22000, Hazardous Waste Management, Materials Management and Inventory Control, Time and Motion Study and Traceability Systems, Warehousing and Central Operations Management and Logistics Management.
 He is currently the Vice President for External Affairs of the Philippine Technological Council (PTC) where he also serves as trainer for the Certification and Accreditation System for Engineering Education (CASEE).  He is a trustee representative of PTC at the Philippine Federation of Professional Associations (PFPA).
He was an active member of the PIChE Polo Chapter where he served as President for two terms already.  He was elected to the PIChE National Board in 2006 as Director for Metro Manila and was reelected as Vice President for Metro Manila in 2007 and as the National  Executive Vice President and 70th National Convention chair in 2008 and became the PIChE President for two terms in 2009 and 2010.
He is an active member and adviser of the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers. He was conferred as ASEAN Engineer on June 2015.

Engr. Nuna E. Almanzor, PhD, ASEAN Eng

Treasurer

Nuna was the first lady Director of the Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI) of the Department of Science and Technology in its 108 years of existence.  She has a B.S. Ch.E. degree from the University of Santo Tomas, a  Doctorate in Business Management degree, and completed a post-graduate course in Chemical Engineering at the Tokyo Institute of Technology  as a UNESCO scholar.
She is the founding president of the DOST PIChE chapter which hosted the 60th National Convention , recording  the biggest attended PIChE convention ever with over a thousand participants. During her term as PIChE National President in 2006-07, she initiated the approval of a Presidential Proclamation by GMA declaring the 3rd week of September as the National Chemical Engineering Week.  It was also during her incumbency that saw the launching of a new seal for use by registered chemical engineers .
She is listed in the ASEAN Engineer registry. She formerly represented the DOST in many inter-agency committees working on environment and solid waste management, energy, standards, among others.  She had also been appointed as the Philippine Focal Point to the ASEAN Sub-Committee on Food Science and Technology.
Currently, she is the Executive Director at the Center for Research and Development of Adamson University, Manila.
